Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-05. Part of the Terms of Service.

NextCommitHQ Network exists so coaches can show how they work and programs can staff their seasons honestly. This policy describes the conduct that keeps the Network trustworthy. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask support@nextcommithq.com before doing it.

1. Be who you say you are

  • Use your real name and your own account. Do not impersonate any person, organization, league, or governing body, and do not claim an affiliation or authority you do not have.
  • Create an organization only if you are actually authorized to act for it. Do not claim a program that is not yours.
  • State your experience, credentials, certifications, and results truthfully. Everything you enter is self-reported and labeled that way; do not describe self-reported information as verified.
  • Describe openings accurately, including compensation. Mark unknown or negotiable terms as such. Do not post openings that do not exist, that are used to collect profiles for another purpose, or that are bait for a different role.
  • One account per person. Do not create additional accounts to evade a block, a limit, or a suspension.

2. Respect other people

  • No harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, or hate speech directed at anyone, on or off the Network.
  • No discrimination in hiring on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. Preferences for team categories (for example boys or girls teams) are work preferences about the role, not about the person.
  • No sexual content, sexual solicitation, or romantic advances. The Network is a professional space.
  • No retaliation against someone for declining a conversation, reporting you, or blocking you.
  • Honor a decline. When a person or organization declines or ends a conversation, do not re-contact them through another organization context or another account.

3. Protect minors

  • Do not create accounts for minors, do not post rosters or athlete information, and do not post images, video, names, or other identifying details of minors. Coaching examples must use adults, diagrams, or practice plans.
  • Do not use the Network to contact, recruit, or communicate with minors or their families.
  • Do not use the Network if you are prohibited from working with youth by law, court order, or a governing body's sanction.
  • Organizations are responsible for background screening and youth-protection compliance for anyone they engage. See Athlete Safety and Screening.

4. Use messaging as intended

  • Send introductions only to people and organizations you genuinely want to work with. No bulk, templated, or unsolicited marketing messages.
  • Do not use messaging to sell products, services, camps, training packages, or memberships unrelated to a specific staffing conversation.
  • Do not request or send passwords, government identification numbers, bank details, or payment through the Network.
  • Do not move a conversation off the Network to avoid its protections and then use the Network to pressure the other party.
  • Interview proposals must be genuine and for a real opening or candidacy.

5. Keep the Chalkboard honest

  • Chalkboard responses must be your own work. Do not submit another person's response or have someone else complete a private assessment for you.
  • Do not share scenario content, another coach's responses, or an organization's reviewer findings outside the Network.
  • Reviewers must assess the response, not the person's protected characteristics, and must attach findings only to excerpts that actually appear in the response.

6. Do not abuse the platform

  • No scraping, crawling, harvesting, or bulk downloading of profiles, openings, or any content, whether by script, browser extension, or manual collection for resale or for building another database.
  • No attempts to access accounts, organizations, conversations, assessments, or data that are not yours, to probe or bypass authorization, or to test security without following the Vulnerability Disclosure policy.
  • No malware, phishing, credential harvesting, or links to them.
  • No interference with the Network: denial of service, deliberate overloading, rate-limit evasion, or abuse of the feedback or report tools.
  • No reverse engineering, framing, or mirroring of the Network, and no use of our name or marks to suggest endorsement.
  • Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, including copyrighted playbooks, drills, or media owned by others.

7. Content standards

Content you post must be accurate, lawful, relevant to coaching or program staffing, and free of:

  • Personal information about other people posted without their consent.
  • Defamatory statements about other coaches, programs, officials, or families.
  • Confidential information of a former employer or organization.
  • Spam, affiliate links, or off-topic promotion.
  • Anything that violates the Copyright and Takedown policy.

8. How we enforce this policy

We rely mainly on reports from users, plus automated limits and audit review. Depending on severity and history we may:

  • Remove or edit content, or unpublish an opening.
  • Add a label or remove a verification.
  • Limit features such as messaging or discoverability.
  • Suspend a profile or an organization, with a recorded reason.
  • Terminate an account and refuse future registration.
  • Preserve records and report conduct to law enforcement or a governing body where we believe a person is at risk or a law has been broken.

We will tell you what action we took and why where doing so is practical and does not endanger anyone. You can respond by email to legal@nextcommithq.com. Reports are private; we do not tell a reported person who reported them.

9. Reporting

Report a message, profile, opening, or organization from the report control on that item, or email legal@nextcommithq.com. If you believe a minor is at immediate risk, contact local law enforcement first.
